If you are feeling weighed down by debt, then we can help. You may think your situation is impossible, but there is hope. Our friendly team will give you a listening ear and provide a real solution to your debts. You will be dealing with a locally-based Debt Coach and a team of experienced debt advisers at Head Office.
Christians Against Poverty started helping people out of debt in 1996 and since then it has helped thousands in situations like yours across the country. There is no charge for this service.

Job Club
CAP Job Club is a free nine week course that runs on Wednesday mornings between 10am and 12 noon. The course runs 3 or 4 times each year so always check the dates to ensure it is on at the time you would like to join.
The course includes: Getting to know you, identifying your strengths and weaknesses, preparing cvs and covering letters, interview practice and much more. We also have a cuppa and a laugh!
At the end of the course we hold a celebration event to reward you for all your hard work. So if you are looking for work, need to update your cv, need interview practice or unsure about your next steps try Job Club. It will give you a new perspective on job hunting.

Life Skills Course
Life Skills is a free eight-week course that runs 3 or 4 times a year. It will equip you with tools such as how to eat well on a budget, how to shop wisely and how to make your money go further.
You will meet with a group of like-minded people, learn practical skills from our trained coaches, and can benefit from one-to-one coaching. This is followed by a time to eat and get to know each other.
This is a free course and, like the Job Club, this also ends with a celebration event!

Money Course
The CAP Money Course is a free course that will teach you budgeting skills and a simple, cash-based system that works. In just a few weeks, you will get to grips with your finances so you can budget, save and prevent debt.
Whether you feel pretty organised or whether it’s like a lucky dip every time you try to withdraw cash from your account, the CAP Money Course will help you take complete control of your finances.
